The Flash

Once a week, the Flash goes off.

At a moment nobody knows in advance, the same simple question reaches the whole family at once. Everyone has a day to answer, in words or with a photo.

How it works

The Flash, step by step.

  1. When the Flash goes off, a banner appears at the top of the Family Feed: The Flash is live, with the time left.
  2. Read the question, such as Show us where life finds you today.
  3. Tap Catch it, then snap a photo or type a line.
  4. Your answer joins the family’s in the feed, marked with the Flash, under the same question.
You: your photo, name and color, how you sign in, and Text me when the Flash goes off. You: your photo, name and color, how you sign in, and Text me when the Flash goes off.
What you see

The details that make it work.

  • A different moment every week, so nobody can plan for it.
  • Twenty-four hours to answer, counted down on the banner.
  • Every answer carries the question it was for, so the week reads as one snapshot.
  • A text when it goes off, if you switch it on under You.
Why it matters

Made for a family, not a feed of strangers.

A different moment every week

It might be a Tuesday lunch or a Saturday evening. Nobody can plan for it, which is the fun.

Twenty-four hours to answer

The Flash sits at the top of the feed while it is live, and your answers gather together underneath it.

A photo or a sentence

Snap what is in front of you or type one line. Small is the point.

No pressure

Missing one costs nothing. Next week there is another.

Questions

About The Flash.

Does everyone get the same question?

Yes. The whole family gets the same question at the same moment, so the answers read like one shared snapshot of the week.
